# π Telegram groups that are a part of FAST
There are a number of different Telegram groups that make up this resource, each with a different amount of information available and purpose.
> [!caution] Only the Telegram groups/channel/bots linked below are part of this project.
> Whilst we allow other bot admins/developers to make use of our data, that does not imply any kind of approval or endorsement from us.

## π Listings: π[Link](https://t.me/scamtrackinglist) [^1]
The Listings group contains hundreds of Topics, each one specific to an individual scammer account, as described in the Topic title: _userID_, _username_, _name_. In each topic there is a pinned message with info about the account and reasons for it being added to the tracker.
Each topic also provides a place for users to forward in evidence they have about that account which can include messages, screenshots, or images. This group remains publicly accessible in order to allow anyone to verify why an account is in the tracker or to share info from here to other people, as so: [[π Sharing info to other places]]

# πͺ§ Countersign Bot: π[Link](https://t.me/CountersignBot)
Our very own Countersign Bot is used to verify that new chat members aren't bots by muting them until they've completed a CAPTCHA. The bot also helps protect chats by banning any accounts on the scammer list automatically.
The Countersign bot is available for chat admins to add to their own chats, and they will have chat commands available to control it. More information on the bot can be found here: [[π€ Intro to the Countersign bot]]
---
_And we wouldn't be able to get new scammer submissions effectively without a bot to help us do that, naturally!_

# β¨ New Scammer Submission Bot: π[Link](https://t.me/Scamtracking_submissions_bot)
This bot has two main functions:
1. Quickly looking up whether an account is on the FAST list of scammers. You can use the account's username, userID, or a forwarded message from them.
2. Submitting new scammer reports.
Full details on how the bot works, and what information you will need to have before submitting a report, is available here: [[π¨ Reporting scammers]]
# π Additional sources for the list of scammers
In our commitment to ensuring the list of scammers is as easy to access as possible, we provide additional ways to obtain the list as structured data.
## π CSV export channel: π[Link](https://t.me/scamtrackingCSV)
This Telegram channel just contains .csv exports of the most recent state of the list. That's it! Useful if you're using external bots or tools to crosscheck our scammer list with your own, or importing into another bot like [Miss Rose](https://missrose.org/docs/exports/#importing-settings).[^2]
## π― JSON endpoint: π[Link](https://countersign.chat/api/scammer_ids.json)
Want the data as JSON? There you go! Again, this just contains the current state of the tracker, with every account currently on it.
# Specialist groups
There are a few groups that act more like sub-groups of the Discussions group. These will usually be invite-only, unless specified otherwise.
## β¨ Advanced
We have an Advanced chat group where trusted users are given access to some of the advanced tools available to us, and we can discuss more complex anti-scammer tactics. Because these tools expose the inner workings of the ways we detect and track scammers, we don't make these publicly available, as we don't want to give scammers the opportunity to adapt to the techniques we are using to find them. If you are a chat admin and want access to this chat and the tools within to help better protect your chat groups, find out how to contact the admins here: [[πΎ FAST volunteers#π‘οΈ Admins]]
Members of the Advanced group help us with reviewing the submissions made via the [[π¨ Reporting scammers#π€ Reporting a new scammer via the bot|FAST New Scammer Submissions Bot]].
## Project 404
In the wake of learning about some furries losing thousands of dollars to scammers ([[π€ Why do we need FAST|see here]]), we established a door-knocking team called Project 404.
The aim of Project 404 is to use the data we have about which groups known scammers are in to identify furry chat groups which have multiple scammers in them. We then reach out to those chat's admins to let them know that scammers are in their group, and educate them about the threat that scammers are causing to the random, and the harm they are causing furries.

[^1]: A verification CAPTCHA from the [@CountersignBot](https://t.me/CountersignBot) will be sent to you when you request to join this chat. You must complete the verification process **immediately**, or else it it will time out and you will need to _withdraw_ your request to join the chat, then _re-request_ to join. This will send you a new CAPTCHA.
[^2]: The Miss Rose bot is not linked in any way to this project.
