# 9️⃣ Not quite perfect
It is important that we get things right. We don't want false negatives (missing a scammer) or false positives (falsely accusing an innocent fur). You can read more about the principles that guide how we operate here: [[📃 How we operate]]
However, we know we can't get it right all the time. That's why we have a process for anyone who wants to appeal their status on the FAST list of scammers ([@scamtracking](https://t.me/scamtracking)). If successful, they will get their account removed from the list, and the Countersign Bot will no longer block them from joining groups that it protects.
If someone is on the FAST list of scammers ([@scamtracking](https://t.me/scamtracking)) and believes they should not be, the process for appealing their entry and getting removed from the list is below. Once someone is removed, the Countersign Bot will no longer block them from groups it is protecting.
# ♻️ Appeal process to get removed from the scammer list
> [!tldr] 1 - Join the [Listings](https://t.me/scamtrackinglist) chat
> When you request to join, our [@CountersignBot](https://t.me/CountersignBot) will send you a verification CAPTCHA - open your chat with [@CountersignBot](https://t.me/CountersignBot) and complete the verification process right after hitting "Request to join"
>
> >[!warning]- You must complete the verification process with the [@CountersignBot](https://t.me/CountersignBot) **immediately**
> >
> > - If you don't it will time out, If that happens, _withdraw_ your request to join the [Listings](https://t.me/scamtrackinglist) chat, and then _request_ to join the chat [Listings](https://t.me/scamtrackinglist) again
> > - The [@CountersignBot](https://t.me/CountersignBot) will then DM you a new CAPTCHA that you must go and complete - open your chat with [@CountersignBot](https://t.me/CountersignBot) immediately after requesting to join the [Listings](https://t.me/scamtrackinglist).
>
> > [!error]- Is the Countersign Bot not letting you join the Listings?
> > - If you are already on our list of scammers, you may be blocked from joining. However in this situation our admin team are notified and will reach out to you. You must attempt to join the [Listings](https://t.me/scamtrackinglist) for this to happen though
> > - We will want you to send us a message like the one detailed in step 3 below, so get that ready for us
Then after you have joined the [Listings](https://t.me/scamtrackinglist) chat:
> [!tldr] 2 - Find the topic in the Listings about your account
> You can search by current or previous username, or userID
> [!tldr] 3 - Send a message in that topic explaining why you believe you should be removed from the list of scammers
> - Provide supporting evidence for your claims
> - Provide explanations of any behaviour previously reported in that topic which contributed to the decision to add your account to the list of scammers
> - Provide evidence to support those explanations
> [!tldr] 4 - Once you have sent your explanations and evidence, we will likely have further questions and queries for you
> We will do this discussion in the topic in the [Listings](https://t.me/scamtrackinglist) chat, so it is visible for everyone to see. Please try to respond to these requests there so that we can complete this second investigation as swiftly as possible - we understand it is stressful waiting for a response.
> [!tldr] 5 - It may take us a while to complete the investigation into your appeal
> When we have finished our investigation into your appeal and any additional evidence you, we will let you know about the outcome in the [Listings](https://t.me/scamtrackinglist) topic about your account.
